Ashley Hall is a portrait artist, specializing in graphite drawings. Her works are often noted for capturing the unique spirit of each subject.  Ashley has developed a personal style that blends precise realism with naturalism.  She encourages her clients to send a variety of candid, amateur photos, so that the subject is in its everyday, natural environment.  Ashley's use of shadow and light create a dramatic life-like quality in each work. She begins each drawing with the eyes, believing that they are the best reflection of the soul. Ashley compares her drawing process to modeling a figure from clay.  She says, "I build upon layers of shadows and highlights, as I bring the drawing to life."
